Style.No.Chaser has very strict parameters for the “Women We Love”. The chosen have to be amazingly distinct. They have to possess something that touches something that cannot be described with words. Their aura has to be arresting and their mission in life has to be blatantly cosmic. Polina (Polly) Rabtseva embodies all of these traits to the fullest. Polly is a fine art videographer and photographer that has worked with giant brands like Bacardi, FashionTV, Mercedes Benz, etc. Polly is on a mission to change the way erotica is perceived. She believes erotica needs a woman’s touch and needs to be taken away from the ready-bang-bang-bang inartistic male perception of sexuality. Her pictures and videos are sensual, ethereal and beautiful. Looking at Polly’s work is like being reminded to live for the now and to be mindful of your surroundings and the love that you hold within. Polly is really a free spirit that manifests life’s essentials and she wants to prove that emotions are more important than knowledge.

Please tell us a little about yourself – your childhood, siblings, where you grew up, what you liked as a child, strange thoughts as a child/now, unique attributes, where you live now, etc.?
I was born in Belarus as the first child to 19 year old parents. My parents were really busy building their careers in architecture and engineering. I was exposed to both of their worlds: art and technology, with every tool possible to play with: from watercolors to electric boards etc.! As a child I learned how to see, understand and appreciate life through the prism of love and simple happiness. My parents made sure I learned the most important life lessons. They taught me how to be fair, loving, disciplined, responsible, loyal, respectful and hard working. I learned all of it through studying fine art, playing violin, and doing gymnastics while I was in elementary and middle school.

It seems you do so many varied things, please expand on what you do for a living now and what you aspire to be?
As a successful stock footage producer I have a chance to combine my two biggest passions: traveling and creating art. Thanks Dissolve!
As a visual artist I’m on a creative journey where I explore, expand and share my vision through illustration, photography and video in order to create as much inspiration as possible. I’m looking forward to unlocking my full creative potential through everyday practice.
As a shameless dreamer all I want is to be carefree and happy all the time.

Your website showcases a lot of your visual art – what are you primarily trying to capture with your images/clips? What tools do you use for your visual art?
I have a belief that feelings are stronger than knowledge. I see the world through a prism of a loving heart and I always aim to capture the true essence of beauty, freedom and happiness in everything that I do.
Tools? I experiment a lot and use everything that helps me to express my vision.

Some of your videos are extremely seductive, what inspires these intensely provocative pieces?
I want to challenge the contemporary perception of erotica that was shaped by man. Personally I think Nudity is the most honest expression of human-being. Every time I shoot I aim to portray my model as feminine yet confident, desirable yet independent, innocent and always honest. I find honesty extremely provocative and sexy.

You sometimes use the tagline “Chasing the dream with a belief that feelings are stronger than knowledge”, could you please explain what this means?
For me life is all about enhancing the potential of our soul and awakening our mind though different experiences, rather than collecting knowledge, embracing fear and creating stereotypes.
Which creation or brand collaboration was the most memorable for you?
I truly enjoy collaborating with dancers! I admire their ability to express themselves though movement. Dance is the next level of beauty. Dance catalyzes inner beauty and makes it to come alive with help of sound.
In your videos, you are very particular about your song choices – what music/artist do you listen to the most and what new album are you listening to currently?
Sound is an extremely important aspect of my life and my art because it has the power to convey and increase emotions.
I love to be surrounded by music always: when I drive, cook, edit, work out, etc. Music is one of the essentials on a set for me. My everyday playlist is a little bit of ODESZA, Jamie XX, Oceaán, Kygo, Henry Green, Laurel and my all-time favorite is Serge Gainsbourg.
“Love” is another recurring theme in all you do – what does “love” mean to you?
Life is all about love. And love is everything but knowledge! A loving heart is the beginning of all wisdom.
Your social media presence is very impressive, what is your secret to mastering the promotion of your endeavors?
I love to engage my audience in the early stages of my creations. I really care what they think about the idea and how they imagine the final piece to be. This also allows me to challenge myself and come up with something unique and unexpected.
What (song, person, movie, book, artist, etc.) inspires you and/or gets you going?
I believe inspiration comes from within.
What is your personal life philosophy?
I’m an artist and less of a philosopher. I want my life to be the masterpiece I’d be most proud of. So I act according to this manifest.
Who dead or alive, celebrity or not, artist or not, would you like to go on a two week road trip with and why?
I would go on this trip with any 5 year old child or Pharell Williams.
Since Style.No.Chaser is a men’s lifestyle magazine, what attributes/items/clothing /etc. do you think define a man?
For me it’s less about certain attributes and more about his ability to express himself though a combination of colors and shapes.
