Many men’s clothing brands have tried unsuccessfully to capture the coveted space between desirable and affordable but ASOS on the other hand dwells in this space. The in-house brand of ASOS, ASOS Black, hits us with their Spring/Summer 2014 collection of very wearable styles that also don’t do excessive damage to the wallet. This collection is not subtle at all. You find a total of 30 items that range from shorts, jackets, hats, t-shirts, pants and sweaters. Pieces have very memorable attributes that include engaging colors (blue, white, grey and yellow), technical fabrications, geometric prints, unexpected innovative padding/paneling. The pieces in the collection are best categorized as ‘sportswear with a fresh tailored twist. Hats off to ASOS Black for creating a repository of variety that is likely to have something for everyone.
