French brand CHMPGN brings us holiday cheer in tinted hues within their Fall/Winter 2017 capsule collection.  The collection leans millennial but the feeling is all the way ‘nostalgic Europe’ with items that embody youth but also give a nod to weathered sophistication.  The campaign is some sort of amalgamation of street and sportswear that meshes so very well on the Philharmonie de Paris backdrop.  The color concept is muted (but also somewhat vivid) greens, beige, black and pale pink (or maybe it is salmon).  We always marvel at labels that are able to take color risk and succeed – because if you get it wrong, it could be very very wrong. Film director, photographer and graphist, Lucas Lehman, delivered a textured view of youthful city exuberance with images that angst as well as optimistic promise.  The capsule collection does not slap you in the face with weirdness but it would be disingenuous not to call it an intelligently brave showing of fashion creativity.
