Here at SNC, we always get hyped when there’s a new drop from San-Francisco bag brand, Timbuk2. Not only are their backpacks and luggage ultra stylish and impeccably designed, but they are also durable as heck. Their latest release is definitely worth your attention because it’s a collab with NYC native Dave Ortiz, sneaker connoisseur, streetwear impresario and all-around catalyst of authentic urban culture.

The new collab is titled the “Brown Bag Series” and it’s inspired by Ortiz’s own NYC upbringing. Growing up, the ubiquitous brown bag served multiple purposes in Ortiz’s childhood. It was an “economical lunch sack, it provided urban camouflage, and it was a neutral carry-all for day-to-day errands.”

It was those nostalgic memories and sentiments that informed his design of this new accessory release. The impressive final result is a sleek tote & backpack combo constructed from Tyvek, complete with sleek lines and ergonomic enhancements.

The 3 bags in the capsule consist of:

  • Paper Bag Backpack Combo ($119) – Inspired by the classic shopping bag, It features a TPU-lined tote and a drawstring backpack. The tote is fully-coated for water-resistant functionality.
  • Paper Lunch Bag ($49) – A multi-use accessory that can attach to bike handlebars or a belt for an elevated take on the resurgent fanny pack.
  • Paper Bag Sleeve ($29) – A 12oz. bottle bag easily attaches to backpack straps and is the perfect cache for stowing smaller essentials.
