Drapeau Noir – S/S 2015 Lookbook
Written by: Staff Photography by: Yohan Colin

A couple of months ago, we showed you looks from the debut Fall collection of French brand Drapeau Noir. We also had an interview with the brand’s founder Nicolas Barbier (see that feature here). We were immediately taken with the skillful construction and tailoring of the clothes – there was also a quiet rebellion in the looks that really drew us in. Well, Drapeau Noir is back with its S/S 2015 collection and we have those looks to share with you today.

This new collection is constructed from really superior fabrics; the crewnecks and t-shirts are made with fabrics from Toki-Sen-I in Japan and they’re woven on vintage looms (Tsuri machines) in the mountains of Okayama. The same meticulous approach is also taken with the woven, button-up shirts, and this season, the Paris brand offers a nice assortment of solids, plaids and small geometrics. The entire collection is manufactured in Portugal and is currently available through a handful of choice French retailers and will also be available in Tokyo in the coming weeks.

The new looks were all photographed in the rustic French countryside – more specifically in the southwest of France (Landes). See more looks in the rotating slideshow above – and for the list of Drapeau Noir stockists, click here:
