Nike SB does not hold any punches when it comes to collaborations. The eclectic nature of Nike SB’s scope is something to be commended – this is made even more apparent with its most recent collaboration with all-around cultish chef and owner and founder of the equally iconic Momofuku franchise, David Chang. The merger of food and footwear is novel and quite refreshing because it reminds all of us that superstars don’t all have to play sports. The new sneaker called “Lucky Peach” is created to mimic the aprons worn at Momofuku restaurants – it has a black denim upper, white soles, gum bottoms and a peach (Lucky Peach) embroidered on the heels. The numbers “163” and ‘207” are also etched in the sock liners as a nod to the addresses of Chang’s Fuku sandwich shop and Ssäm Bar located in New York. The sneakers will sell for $110 USD, and can be bought from the Momofuku restaurant food menus on 06/22/2017 and online on 06/23/2017.
