1985 was a long time ago, but it was definitely an important year both in basketball and in urban culture. That was the year when Michael Jordan was named rookie of the year, and also played in the All-Star game. Because of his soaring star power, Nike gave him his own shoe, the very distinct high tops, dubbed The Air Jordan 1. The shoe was designed by Peter Moore, and in the next 3 decades, it would grow to become one of the most popular athletic sneakers in the entire world.

Next month, the Air Jordan 1 will be released in a Clay Green colorway that’s perfect for the burgeoning months of spring. The subtle green hue is balanced with a crisp white upper and black paneling accents. Excellent for pairing with camo pants, loden green cargos or jet black Nudie Denim.
