If you’re a regular reader of Style.No.Chaser, then you already know that we play very nicely with Red Wing shoes. For the most part, we’ve become accustomed to seeing our beloved RW Heritage shoes mostly worn with selvedge denim and workwear influenced outfits. But for Spring 16, the good folks at Red Wing Heritage are asking us to think of their boots in a different way with the release of the Heritage Weekender collection.
The new collection is described as a “stitched-down collection of American-made, lightweight footwear inspired by archival desert boots. Instead of regular Goodyear welt used with their established working boot, the Red Wing Heritage Weekender collection is constructed with leather hides from the S.B. Foot Tanning Company. They also feature the ComfortForce footbed that provides instant wearing comfort. So yes, you won’t have to factor in several months of “breaking-in” duty before these shoes adjust to the contours of your foot. The collection is presented in the Oxford and Chukka silhouettes and shoes are available in three of Red Wing’s standard leathers:Charcoal Rough & Tough, Hawthorne Muleskinner, and Copper Rough & Tough.
The Oxford retails at $219.99 and the Chukka at $229.99. Find them here.
