HOMECORE: S/S 2015 PREVIEW
Written by: Staff

At the beginning of the year, we did a feature with Alexandre Guarneri, the owner of Paris/Berlin based brand Homecore (see it here). The brand was conceived in 1992 and it was inspired by the raw and edgy American Hip-Hop culture of that era. As time went on, the focus of the brand and its style identity evolved. The present essence of the brand is about creating wearable and basic clothing with exceptional construction but with interesting and unique details. The Homecore man is that guy who loves to look great and feel cool in all settings, but at the same time he’s not into “peacocking” and imposing his style aesthetic on anyone else.

We were lucky to get a sneak preview of the brand’s S/S 2015 collection, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. We noticed some very well-crafted utilitarian pieces and an expertly fitted quilted jacket that looks just sublime for a breezy Spring evening. There is even a safari-inspired outfit we noticed that’s right in-tune with the urban explorer trend being pushed by quite a few Japanese menswear brands. Our favorite piece though is the awesome sweatshirt above with the subtle yet poignant print “Happy Human Here.” There is a youthful and positive energy to this brand that we really love. Be sure to keep it on your radar.
