Indigo Dreams: Blue Blue Japan F/W 2014
Written by: Staff

Indigo is one of the oldest dyes used by mankind to color garments. Perhaps that’s why it instantly conveys and evokes a feeling of richness, texture and tangible depth. Whether this traditional dye is used for altering a kimono, a chambray shirt or denim twill, the effect is always pleasing and nostalgic.

The brand BLUE BLUE KOBE  opened its doors in 1990, and in the ensuing years, it has expanded into other Japanese harbor towns like Hakata, Kokura and Yokohama. There is a long laundry list of newer brands jumping on the Indigo bandwagon, but Blue Blue is definitely the genuine article. The brand’s expertise at indigo dyeing coupled with their impeccable attention to detail and superior denim craftsmanship makes them one of the best Japan brands on the scene right now.

We were really taken by their artistically captured F/W 2014 lookbook, See it in the slideshow above.
