The Maker & Muse series was a concept started by Club Monaco in 2012. It aims to bring all of CM’s favorite things from around the world into their stores. Their latest find is the vintage Italian tailoring house Lardini which was founded all the way back in 1978. Lardini hails from a small Italian town called Filottrano, and they are known and respected for their use of exceptional fabrics, precision production techniques and old world methodology.
The capsule collection consists of a beautiful double-breasted linen suit, a classic single breasted blue blazer and a very European reversible trench coat. The well-tailored pieces were shot on Alireza Niroomand, the dapper bearded general manager of NYC Italian restaurant Saint Ambroeus. You have to agree, the pieces look really good, especially for the spring season that’s finally here. A word to the wise; don’t sleep on those red socks peeping out from the leather loafers above; a very nice touch indeed. Blazers will run you about $1200 – see the pieces online here.
