The Lucio Vanotti Spring/Summer 2016 collection is very gregarious.  It expresses the side of men that yearns to stand out and make a statement without outlandish vulgarity.  It is serene but full of escapist undertones that will make the most fashion backward individual wonder what it would be like to actually be able to express one ’s self with clothes.  The inspiration is clearly of an eastern nature but the target is all of us.  The designs are long, flattering and delve deep into geometrical knowhow.  It is difficult to critique a collection so crisp that it incites philosophical pondering.  The Italian designer is fighting a good fight because any time clothes can act as a catalyst for reflection, it is clear that something is being done right.  The colors don’t intimidate but they conjure a state of being that is both stress-free and restless for change.  The clothes invoke a state of awareness that is missing in men’s fashion today.  Well done Lucio Vanetti!
