Menswear brand MariusPetrus is definitely one to watch. The inspired label was launched in 2012 by Belgium designer Marius Op’t Eynde. He cut his teeth by completing internships at revered designing houses like Raf Simons and Alexander McQueen. His collections are characterized by bold colors, classic tailoring elements and stark architectural prints. Contrast is a big element in his offerings and crispy whites are often seen against dark blues and unapologetic blacks. Luxurious, high-end fabrics are also common fixtures in his collections.
For A/W 2015, the directional designer infuses military and pilot styles with discernible streetwear/sportswear influences. There are also several instances of verbiage graphics that portray unapologetic anti-war statements. In the midst of all this, we are also treated to a luxurious array of materials like plush wools and cashmere set against more rugged selvedge denims.
The collection will be available July 1st – worldwide through LN-CC, in Hong Kong at the Swank and in Seoul at John White.
