Mashael Al Rajhi’s Spring/Summer 2016 Collection titled dichotomy is an excursion into black and white conceptualization of contrary truths.  The collection is crisp with ninja-like attire in both black and white that allow the mind and body to roam in unrestricted possibilities.  There is a deep philosophical underpinning in the collection that inspires one to explore the depths of constriction, breakable rules and unadulterated freedom.  The collection is both: happy and sad, deep and shallow, masculine and feminine, traditional and avante-garde, secular and spiritual, brash and conservative.  The yin and yang embodied within the Saudi designer’s collection is a beautiful interpretation of how positives can coexist seamlessly without friction.  Marshal Al Rajah – thanks for this ode to real life!
