Set to hit theaters on December 18th, 2015, Star Wars: Episode VII, The Force Awakens is sure to pack an indelible punch for movie enthusiasts and Star Wars fanatics. The epic cinematic phenomenon directed, co-written and co-produced by J. J. Abrams is the first film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, announced after Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm in October 2012.
Other than the excitement that emanates from the actual movie, collectors of Star Wars memorabilia are gnashing their teeth in anticipation of the very awesome toys, action figures and collectibles that will accompany this truly captivating event. One such article that has already hit the market is the Captain Phasma figurine (1/6th scale) courtesy of Hot Toys. Captain Phasma is a female character in the film that plays quite a major role. Her back story states that “Phasma was a female individual who lived approximately thirty years after the Battle of Endor. Phasma served as a Captain in the First Order and wore a reflective suit of armor similar to that of a stormtrooper”. Yes, I know – this shit is just awesome!
