For all those who still doubt this, there continues to be increasingly more indisputable proof that the folks at New Balance don’t sleep – actually we are starting to doubt if the organization is even controlled by humans. This go around, the Boston-based brand has teamed up with renowned Mexican fashion designer Ricardo Seco (Ricardo has showcased New Balance paraphernalia in his last four runway shows) to create a bold collage (in four colorways) of New Balance 574s using U.S. patent pending molded beading. It is important to note that this collection is the first time a New Balance/Seco collaboration is headed for retail. The sneakers came out looking like brilliant pieces of authentic Mexican art and they almost seem better suited for a bidding war rather than the traditional purchasing routine. New Balance’s press releases stresses that “the 574 tongue and foxing are done in a premium nubuck, and feature a rich leather tongue lining”. The shoe’s insert is co-branded by New Balance and Ricardo Seco and this masterpiece will be sold in a collector-worthy graphic shoebox inspired by the shoe beading innovation. The merchandise will be available on 12/9/2017 (Xmas gift y’all) at www.NewBalance.com in unisex sizes 4-13.
