This past Tuesday, the Style.No.Chaser team attended a sneaker release event at Fellow Barber on 33 Crosby Street in NYC. The gathering was for the release of New Balance’s Elite Edition Barbershop Pack that will be debuting next month. The new lifestyle sneaker is inspired by the old-school barbershop vibe and features cool design details like suede and mesh uppers, striped aglets and checkered black and white pattern inserts evoking the floors of classic barbershops.
It was an intimate and friendly event, and in addition to the excellent cocktails provided courtesy of WhistlePig Rye, the patrons were also treated to shaves, haircuts and rejuvenating old-school, hot towel facials. We also got to meet the designer of the sneakers, the talented Mr. Victor Toro. This East Coast winter has been truly brutal, and a hot towel and neat whiskey was exactly what the doctor ordered.
The Barbershop Pack will be available in three styles, the New Balance 1600, 580 and 999 beginning February 1 with a suggested retail price of $119.95 – 129.95. See more pics of the event in the slideshow above.
