In the history of music overlapping with art, there have been very few artists with the courage, depth, musicality and knack for fearless experimentation as David Bowie. Even though he passed away in 2016, the ripples of his daring creativity are still being felt all through the industry.

In a continuing effort to pay homage to this great performer, BBC has announced that it’s creating a doc-movie titled David Bowie: The First Five Years. It will cover the nascent years of Bowie’s career. This will be the 3rd in a series of films, David Bowie: The Last Five Years, which detailed the end of the rock giant’s career, and David Bowie: Five Years.

Look out for the 90-minute doc to debut in 2019.
