It is true that on the surface the capsule collaboration collection between Off-White™ and the brand Undercover looks like an elaborate cut-and-paste job – however, we want to reveal what is underneath.  The collection which encompasses t-shirts, denim pants, hoodies, shorts and a waist bag is a true amalgamation of two essences. The people (Virgil Abloh and Jun Takahashi) at the helm of each of the collaborators are fashion visionaries so any melding of ideas yields something special.  Conventional Off-White™ iconography are deftly fused with images the duo is calling ‘dark matter’. Dark matter in the mind of Jun Takahashi includes a snake filled GILAPPLE (made famous by Undercover), clawed aged hands, flexible skeletons and peace signs.  The color scheme is quite crisp with red, yellow, black and white items forming a clean backdrop for the merged iconography of Off-White™ and Undercover.  The unification of brands birthed the sobriquet “UNDEROFFWHITECOVERS” which is prominently placed on some of the pieces.  The collection is inspired by iconic Japanese comedy from about 30 – 40 years ago which featured actors Naoto Takenaka and Eri Fuse.  Items will be available on 09/14/2019
