Twenty-three year old Andrea Lazzari (see below) is a pure fashion prodigy with art as his north star. A lover of music and design, and a big fan of Hedi Slimane, Andrea proves with his work that dreams are very attainable even at a very young age. Andrea states that his inspiration starts with himself and the world that surrounds him. With a solid art/design/fashion education from R. Franchetti in Venice and The Marangoni Institute in Milan, Andrea is well poised to keep winning in the menswear game through his fashion line: Plùs que ma vie (more than my own life).
The SS 2015 collection from Plùs que ma vie is very different and has a definite point of view. Entitled Aquarium, the collection plays on aquatic colors, and the cohesion of the clothes plays on the co-operative nature of a stylish coastal (or even underwater) community. The clothes are wearable and the tailoring is precise without the stuffy restrictive quintessence that plagues many brands. The overall vibe of the collection is “sophisticated and rebellious aquatic sporty”, and it works very well. Prints and bright colors are used cheekily to create memorable ensembles. A look of note is the mismatched camouflage-like graphical pants and jacket combination (see below) that is simply DOPE!
