You heard it before, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. In this case you make Yeezy Sneakerade. Mental health is a real issue effecting millions on a daily basis with some not getting or seeking the help needed. Kanye West launch several pop-up lemonade stands to bring awareness to mental health by donating proceeds from the sales of his Yeezy Adidas this week. Kim Kardashian explained the stalls on Twitter. “In the continued spirit of bringing people & families together, the brand has selected unexpected locations for the stands to connect with communities throughout the country,” she wrote in the post – “Stand Locations: Indianapolis, IN; Missouri, TX; Waterloo, IA; Minneapolis, MN; Alton, IL; West Chester, OH; Belle Fourche, SD; Cedar Rapids, IA.” The lemonade pop-up stand idea is not some savvy marketing scheme; All for a good cause – proceeds actually went to a mental health charity. “All proceeds made via the stands will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI www.nami.org),” Kim West added to the details, “the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.”
