Legendary DJ, Steve Aoki, showcases the fruits of his creative fashion loins in the Spring 2018 Collection of his brand DIM MAK titled “Paradise Found”. The collection is reportedly Aoki’s personal response to “the global climate, and daily life as we know it being perverted by socio-political turmoil and negativity”. The very poignant activist message of disenfranchisement is clearly expressed on graphic tees and street jackets as well as in the general militaristic direction of the clothes. There is a subtle anger that pervades through the collection and although there is room for added refinement, there are more than a few green sprouts that can be nurtured for potentially stronger showings in the future.
