Even though this past weekend’s cultural news was dominated by the release of Jay-Z’s 13th album 4:44, there was also another NYC Hip-Hop personality making waves across the world. Swizz Beatz took his modern art movements The Dean Collection & No Commission to Berlin. It’s an expansive idea that Swizz created to connect emerging artists with willing art patrons. The No Commission initiative, sponsored by Bacardi, has been extremely successful, and past events have been held in NYC and London. The Berlin party that went down over the weekend featured tons of cool art and performances by Major Lazer, Black Coffee, Kitty Cash, Honey Dijon, Virgil Abloh and Noah Beker’s Bakery.
