Porsche took the sheet off a modern version of the monstrous, 911 GT2 RS Turbo-based 935 race car that earned the nickname Moby Dick in the late 1970s. The original Porsche 935 from 1978 is a racing legend and dominated the racing scene for several years including the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans race. This beastly 935 is equipped with a 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine producing 700 hp, and power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels through a seven-speed PDK box. The menacing 935 isn’t street-legal so it doesn’t need to comply with strict safety and emissions regulations, and it wasn’t designed with a specific race series in mind so restrictions on aerodynamic add-ons and engine displacement never entered the equation. This is as pure as design gets in the automotive world. The ride will be made in an exclusive run of 77 cars, so hurry and get your check book out fast and be prepared to drop 800k.
