Tom Sachs is probably (without the least bit of exaggeration) one of the most influential contemporary artists working today. Most recently, his SPACE PROGRAM installations envisioning explorations to both Mars and Jupiter have proven that his imagination knows no bounds. Also his recent collab with Nike has created sneakers that have been coveted by art-lovers and fashionistas alike.

For the upcoming Art Basel show, Sachs will be showing his latest creative foray into furniture at Design Miami. The items will showcase his bricolage technique in which he puts everyday materials to extraordinary use. One of those pieces is a side chair that has a polycarbonate back and seat with a plywood frame. The chair also has circular cutouts and drill holes to reduce the overall weight of the chair.
