Ghostly brilliance with a monochromatic precision assault is how Japanese brand Viridi-Anne is attacking its Spring/Summer 2016 collection. The collection titled “Ashes To” is literally and metaphorically dancing on the graves of those who choose not to progress and explore. The modern aesthetic which is firmly grounded in street style is not breaking any rules because no rules have yet been created for the realm Viridi-Anne has chosen to dwell. The spooky excellence of this collection screams in the crevices of your brain forcing you to be original and take a chance. The clothes are beautiful and impeccable in their creation. The colors are subdued but they have to be because loud colors on this collection would take the decibel of beauty even beyond Mayan comprehension. The collection is so well styled with hats, sneakers, bags and boots that one feels that every ensemble should remain untouched like a masterpiece painting. All kudos should go to designer Viridi-Anne’s designer Tomoaki Okaniwa for truly blessing us. Bravo!
